WELL WOMAN CLINIC


A dedicated well woman clinic is being run by our obs/gynae department. This clinic will aid the general health check up of patients as well as screening for breast and gynaecological malignancy. The visit will include a general physical examination, breast examination for any lumps & abnormality, a gynaecological examination / internal check – up to rule out any problem/infection.

The examinations will be supported by the following investigations:

  • Cervical / pap smear
  • Ultra sound pelvis ( for status of uterus, tubes, ovaries and adnexa )
  • Blood C/E
  • Urine C/E
  • Blood Sugar Random
  • LFTs and,
  • RFTs (serum, urea and creatinine)

Additional/ specialized investigation will be individualized for patients according to her needs as indicated by her history, examination and reports.

Mammography if age is more than 50 years

Dr. Lubna Rashid
Specialist OBS / GYN

We welcome at CEDARS – Jebel Ali International Hospital, Dr. Lubna Rashid, our newly appointed Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. With the inclusion of Dr. Lubna in our team, the services being offered at CEDARS will now include complete antenatal care of patients with tests and advise for obstetrical problems.

Additionally, advice in Post Natal Care and Breast Feeding is given.

All gynaecological problems such as abnormal bleeding, miscarriage, irregular periods, polycystic ovarian syndrome, genital tract infections, ovarian/ uterine tumors, infertility and fibroids are diagnosed and treated.

Cervical carcinoma screening (Pap smear) and vaccine for prevention of cervical carcinoma (HPV vaccine) is available in the hospital.

All gynaecological procedures such as diagnostic D&C, evacuation of uterus, polypectomy, myomectomy, abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, laparotomy for ovarian cyst/tumors are performed by our experienced gynaecologist.

A dedicated well woman clinic is now being run by our obs/gynae department.

Dr. Lubna Rashid
Specialist OBS / GYN

Dr. Lubna Rashid received her medical education ( M.B.B.S) and post graduation (MCPS in OBG/GYN) and ( FCPS in OBG/GYN) from the College of Physicians & Surgeons, Pakistan. Until recently she was working in the capacity of Assistant Professor/ Consultant Obstetrics/ Gynaecology in a teaching/ tertiary care hospital in Lahore, Pakistan. She has more than ten years experience in dealing with OBS/ GYN problems. She has attended workshops on Hysteroscopy, Coloposcopy and Gynaecological Endoscopy. She has in her career graph also made contributions to a list of noteworthy publications in her home country.
